Who We Are

A DISTINCT IDENTITY

The AWIS Georgia Chapter is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that champions the interests of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) across all disciplines, socio-economic strata, and occupational focus.

We exist to:

  • encourage the interest and active participation of womxn from historically excluded and under-represented groups as they relate to racial/ethnic background, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, physical abilities, and more;

  • embed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts into day-to-day member service; and

  • work strategically to engage the male majority population.
